Nursing Faculty Positions

Community Health - Omaha

Assistant or Associate Professor - Community Health | Omaha Campus

Creighton University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution, invites applications for a 9 month, full-time, tenure track faculty position in community health on the College of Nursing’s Omaha campus for August 2014.

Candidates must possess at least a master’s degree in nursing and 3 years of clinical nursing experience. An earned doctorate or enrollment in a doctoral program is preferred. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in classroom instruction and clinical supervision. The candidate must have a current unencumbered licensure as an RN in the state of Nebraska, or eligibility for licensure.  National certification and licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in an appropriate nurse practitioner field is required, if applicable.

Both undergraduate and graduate nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Creighton University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association. Creighton University is an AA/EEO/ADA Employer.

Pediatrics - Omaha

The College is seeking pediatric faculty with experience in the acute care environment. The flexibility to supervise nursing students in a community-based setting is also desired.

Medical/Surgical Nursing - Hastings

Creighton University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution, invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty position in the College of Nursing on its Hastings, NE campus for August 2014. The available position is a 9-month position in medical-surgical nursing.

Candidate must possess at least a Master’s degree in nursing and 3 years clinical experience. An earned doctorate or enrollment in a doctoral program is preferred. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in face-to-face and distance classroom instruction and clinical supervision.

Its full range of hospital services includes specialty care in cardiac services, oncology, women’s health, pediatrics, and behavioral health, plus a complement of outpatient, home health and wellness services. Academic programs offered on the CON Hastings campus include the traditional 4-year and accelerated BSN programs as well as the MSN and DNP programs.
