Nursing Faculty Positions

Community Health - Omaha

Assistant or Associate Professor - Community Health | Omaha Campus

Creighton University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution, invites applications for a 9 month, full-time, tenure track faculty position in community health on the College of Nursing’s Omaha campus for August 2014.

The College of Nursing serves over 400 students in its BSN programs and over 300 students in its graduate nursing programs.

Faculty responsibilities will include classroom instruction, clinical teaching/supervision of students, curriculum development, and academic advising. Other faculty responsibilities include those associated with service and scholarship.

Candidates must possess at least a master’s degree in nursing and 3 years of clinical nursing experience. An earned doctorate or enrollment in a doctoral program is preferred. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in classroom instruction and clinical supervision. The candidate must have a current unencumbered licensure as an RN in the state of Nebraska, or eligibility for licensure.  National certification and licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in an appropriate nurse practitioner field is required, if applicable.

Both undergraduate and graduate nursing programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. Creighton University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association. Creighton University is an AA/EEO/ADA Employer.

Pediatrics - Omaha

Assistant or Associate Professor - Pediatrics | Omaha Campus

Creighton University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution, is seeking a 12 month, full-time, tenure track faculty in pediatric nursing to fill a position the College of Nursing’s BSN program for August 2015.   This position is for the College’s Omaha campus.

The College is seeking pediatric faculty with experience in the acute care environment. The flexibility to supervise nursing students in a community-based setting is also desired.

Faculty responsibilities will include classroom instruction in the undergraduate program, clinical and simulation teaching/supervision of undergraduate students in both the pediatric acute care settings and community-based settings, curriculum development, and academic advising. Other faculty responsibilities include those associated with service and scholarship commensurate with the College of Nursing and university expectations.
