College of Nursing COVID-19 Information

Traditional & Accelerated

  • The faculty and staff remain committed to providing in-person classes whenever possible. Safety measures are in place as outlined in the Caring for our Campus Community document. All students are expected to attend classes in person unless authorized by Student Health and Counseling (SHEC) for an excused absence. Selected classes may be required to wear face shields and/or goggles in addition to the required face mask due to classroom capacities. Faculty will notify students if this is the case in their courses.
  • All clinical experiences remain operational and in-person. Beginning in Spring 2021, students may be assigned to care for known COVID-19 positive patients. All personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided for students. Questions or concerns about caring for a COVID+ patient? Students are welcome to file a request with Disability Services if an accommodation is being requested. Students can also contact their Course Leader(s) to discuss.
