“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” —Jeremiah 29:11
My main interest has been neonatal sepsis, and I developed a “SOS” Scale of Sepsis useful for term infants that develop symptoms of infection. I am presently working with women who have been on bed-rest for premature labor or other complications. I am attempting to decrease their stress by providing neonatal education about premature infants. I am also interested in the development of competency in the NNP student upon graduation and ways to facilitate, strengthen or improve this competence in the role of NNP.
