Professor Nilsson's current specialty in gerontological nursing.  She has held certification as a clinical specialist in the area and primary teaching responsibilities have been in working wiith bachelor's students, both traditional and accelerated, in the clinical areas of care of the older adult population.  She also is decdicated to working with entering freshmen students dating back to 1986.  Previously, she taught in the Perioperative areas for the program.  Her  research has been in the area of care of the Older Adult.
