Biography

Dr. Rhonda Coffman is an Assistant Professor in the College of Nursing in the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program.  Her current research interests are teaching strategies and quality improvement in the acute care setting focusing on length of stay and readmissions.  Prior to this position, she worked in hospital medicine as a nurse practitioner implementing evidence-based practice into the care of her patients,  She precepted several nurse practitioner students in her work with hospital medicine and has a passion for teaching.  She is an editor-in-cheif for StatPearls to develop review questions that assist students to obtain board certification in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care.
